Since having Poppy we have met some fantastic new friends. Nick and I met Eve and Mark in our Antenatal classes and their son Flynn, was born 6 days after Poppy.
We have become very good friends and have enjoyed many ‘play-dates’ together. Eve is a fellow adventurer and so we regularly bundled the kids into our backpacks and have enjoyed numerous walks over the past year. Yesterday afternoon we walked around the Summit Circuit at Knocklofty Reserve.
I really value the opportunity of spending time with other women who are going through the same stage in life as I am. We provide a lot of support and encouragement for each other and ask many questions (‘What do you give Flynn for dinner?, ‘How many hours is he sleeping through the day now?’).
Poppy always gets very excited when she sees Flynn and I hope they will be firm friends in the future. I am sure Eve and I will continue to share beautiful places with them!
Looking back over these photos, I just can’t believe how much they have changed (they look so grumpy in this first photo!):
Wat zijn dit leuke foto’s van Poppy en Flynn. Wij zijn de ouders van Eve en de opa en oma van Flynn. Wij hebben elkaar een keer ontmoet bij het zwembad.
Liefs Peter en Diny
