A Fall from Grace

Unfortunately I don’t have a recipe today due to my trip to Melbourne at the weekend. Stay tuned for next week!

I did however have an embarrassing encounter yesterday afternoon. Nick picked me up from work and I had to pop into Coles on the way home to grab more nappies for Poppy. I was holding my box of nappies in one hand and a basket of groceries in the other and as I stepped forward to the checkout, I SLIPPED and went down like a sack of potatoes.

I felt so embarrassed as I clambered back up, trying to ignore all the onlookers, regaining my composure, and picking up my groceries strewn about the floor.  I realised I had slipped on a kiwi fruit on the floor (no not a banana skin) and my pride and dignity went out the window right at that moment.

When several staff members started making a fuss to see if I was ok, I couldn’t believe it but I just started ‘blubbering’. Not crying, just the bottom lip quivering and tears seeping from my eyes. It really shook me up.

I left promptly and into the safety of Nick and his car, away from any jeering sneers. 😦
