Poppy is now facing forward in her pram and she loves it!  We hung out at the Salamanca Market yesterday with Sammy J.  It was such a gorgeous day!!

Can we rely on too much information from books?  I have been contemplating this question for the past couple of days, since my last post.  I have read a lot about ‘parenting’ from books so far, but I wonder if I have information overload?  Maybe I should just listen more to my heart and instincts?

Today we have reached another little milestone in Poppy’s world…she is 6 months old today, and what a wonderful time we have all had together!  With this, brings more vaccinations today :(; she will be out of her carry cot in the pram and she will start experiencing solid food!  I am such a ‘first-time-mum’

Poppy’s big friend’s – George, Minnie and James came to visit at the weekend with their Mum and Dad – Keith and Lil.  We had a fabulous time together – eating wonderful food, drinking Tasmanian wine, and a visit to MONA on Saturday.   It was so lovely seeing Poppy respond to their affection and attention,

In the past week, Poppy has been showing us her newly developed skills of lifting up on her knees and feet.  Each day she spends more and more time on her knees, rocking back and forth, and today I captured her on her toes (yoga plank pose!).  Maisy doesn’t seem that impressed in the background!

This morning we took Kali (my niece) and her friend, Erin out on the boat for breakfast.  Poppy was pretty chilled out and just lounged around all morning!  Ah the life of a 4 1/2 month old.

Poppy is wearing her new t-shirt today!  She is being quite grizzly too, and I have realised that I can’t just pop her on the floor or in her bouncer, whilst I potter away. She is requiring more stimulation now and gets bored quite quickly!  However, she was quite intrigued whilst she watch me make
