The long await is now over…Poppy’s first tooth appeared this morning!  No wonder she has been little Miss Grizzly for the past couple of days/weeks.  I am going to enjoy that gummy little smile even more, knowing its days are numbered!!

Poppy has enjoyed her ‘alfresco dining’ experience over the last couple of evenings, and it doesn’t matter how much mess she makes!  x

It is always a lovely feeling unfurling from winter and noticing the subtle changes.  I am now craving fresh veggies and salads at this time of year as opposed to warming, hearty winter casseroles, stews and cakes!  I have been enjoying lovely seasonal produce such as this asparagus, cooked with a little butter and seasoning,

The look of concentration as Poppy demonstrates her newly acquired skill of crawling! Watch out – we will have to “Poppy proof” the house now.  

As you can see, I think Poppy ends up with more veggies on her face and bib, than she consumes!  She has also discovered she can lift up her bib to look through it!  Food goes everywhere…ah the joys of solids!!

Poppy can now sit all by herself! She is still a little wobbly, but is getting the hang of sitting solo. I still have the rear bumpers (cushions) in place to soften her topples!

Nick has bought Poppy a new toy (well maybe it is more for his enjoyment).  It is an Air Swimmer remote controlled Clown Fish.  Poppy loves it and Maisy barks madly at the new resident.  Hilarious!!
