This beautiful piece of art called ‘The Invisible Garden’ by Julie Payne, caught my eye as I was walking home past Handmark Gallery in Hobart the other day. Her exhibition is called A Sculptor’s Handbook and is showing until the 28th April 2015.
I love those mountain cliffs and the detailed sketching of flora samples, as they are very familiar in our beautiful Tasmanian landscapes.

Many of the works in this exhibition are composed of several individual elements that have been either drawn or collected, and then arranged as fitting to each idea. The most rewarding part of making work is the pursuit of an idea and finding the magical relationship between objects.
The Poppy Files 
I don’t think I’ll get to see it but it looks great. As you mentioned she is very talented.
