I have been home with little Poppyseed for the past couple of days, as she has come down with another bout of tonsillitis and a suspected ear infection.
After I retrieved her from care on Monday morning, we have had a couple of trips to the doctor since then. Poppy is now on the mend and is much chirpier today. She has had so many virus’s since starting childcare in February.
I was supposed to teach on Tuesday and so I had a few stressful phone calls to make in search of a relief teacher. I had Poppy in her high-chair crying and refusing to eat her dinner, whilst I was making calls. Ah the juggles of a working Mum! Nick came to the rescue and entertained Poppy, whilst I made arrangements for my lesson.
Entertainment for our sick little girl included a packet of birdie stickers (which Maisy also participated in) and a rogue purple pen!
On another note – Poppy has a new little cousin! Maxwell Fisher Davies was born early on Tuesday morning, in Melbourne. A son for George and Alison and a little brother for Ruby. Bless. xx
I love how patient Maisy is with Poppy. I am glad Poppy is on the mend xo
I am so relieved how patient Maisy is too! Mind you, I never take it for granted and keep my eye on the ‘girls’ at all times! I think Maisy just likes getting the attention! X
