Every night before Poppy’s dinner/bath/bed routine we crank up Madonna and have a little dance with Poppy. She thinks it is hilarious watching Mum and Dad being crazy on the ‘dance floor’ and does a little jig to the beats. Tonight we pulled out the wig and glasses from the ’dress up box’. Saturday Night Fever
Last night we had a babysitter for Poppy, and Nick and I shared a fantastic evening with James and Leesa. We took Tagus over to Bellerive where we went to a scrumptious Thai restaurant – Darjoh’s. It was wonderful to be out together with friends, and even enjoy a few cheeky sparkling wines!
Poppy’s Baptism
Poppy was baptised last Sunday, under the big oak tree on Mum and Dad’s property ~ ‘Mill Farm’. It was a delightful day and Poppy was very well behaved during the service.
We have asked our dear friends – Keith and Bron to be Poppy’s Godparents. Keith and his family were able to join us on Sunday, but Bron is still in the UK and we look forward to seeing her, and her family back in Australia later in the year.
Poppy’s Aunt and Uncle’s – Robyn, George, Will, Tup (and little Maggie) made it down from Melbourne for the weekend too, which was fantastic!
It was wonderful to share the day with our family and friends. x
A Bird in the Hand
I have a fantastic application – A Bird in the Hand (from the Tasmanian Parks & Wildlife Service) on my iPhone. Poppy LOVES listening to the various calls of the Tasmanian birds – she even pouts her lips as she tries to whistle like them!

I find it difficult to keep Poppy out of my robe, and today I found her with all my pink shoes pulled off the shelf (maybe to match her top!) At least she has a good eye for co-ordinating colours already! x
