I love Melbourne … the culture, the food and the fashion!
Cath and I are having a wonderful time in the ‘big city’. Unfortunately our friend Neil didn’t give us his best on Wednesday night, but it was fantastic to eat at our favourite, the Chocolate Buddha; walk along the South Bank, go to IKEA and enjoy the city. Not to mention the obligatory shoe shopping!

Today I am loving these tissue paper pom pom’s. I have posted about pom pom’s before here but I just love these delicate blooms. They have inspired me with new ideas for decorating Poppy’s room.
Pom-Poms wonderfully dress up any special occasion or room in your home. Loved by many, pom-poms are a wonderful and airy way to add detail to your space.

With our second bubba due in early August, I have been experiencing a rage of ‘nesty’ hormones, much to Nick’s concern. All I think and dream about is the new configuration of our bedrooms (Poppy will move into our room, we will move into the big spare bedroom that has never been renovated and little bubba will have Poppy’s room). I will have to do some reading to see when the best time is to swap rooms, as we don’t want Poppy thinking she has been ‘evicted’ from her little nest!

Today I am loving UK designer Ilse Crawford’s fur-covered update of a classic: the Alvar Aalto’s Armchair 400, that I recently saw on Remodelista:
In February a few years back, Artek launched their Dress the Chair! campaign as part of its 75th anniversary celebration. The company asked a selection of designers to render classic Artek pieces in their vision; Crawford was the first to have a go at the Armchair 400 (nicknamed “The Tank”) by rendering it in a softer reindeer skin upholstery.
I would love to nestle into this baby by the fire! xx
For many years I have been loving the Nelson Platform Bench:

Today I am loving Poppy’s new shoes – the Saltwater Sandal. I picked them up for a bargain on Gumtree:

I always thought kids sunglasses were a little cheesy but on Christmas Day Poppy kept stealing her cousin’s and would not put them down.
I finally succumbed and bought her a pink and white dotty pair yesterday. Oh my god – she LOVES them and has been wearing them constantly. I think she would have slept in them last night if she could have!

Today I am loving my girlfriends! I have some beautiful friends and last night I hosted a small gathering to celebrate the festive season. A wonderful evening of fine food, captivating conversation, but most importantly being surrounded by my treasured friends. xx
