I love our morning cuddles in bed! Have a happy weekend. Xxx

We have been busy over the weekend – visiting parks, the Salamanca Market, Parliament Lawns and just hanging out at home!
Unfortunately James has regressed with his sleeping at night, waking 3 – 4 times for his Mummy’s cuddles and the milk bar. Hmmppphhh – I need to give him some tough love as he certainly isn’t wasting away to a shadow.
What I would do for a full night’s sleep!?

Our little man is now 4 months old! It is quite surreal thinking about this milestone as it feels as though it has gone in a flash, yet an eternity since his birth. I can’t imagine our life without him … and his cute smile.
My Mum made this bib for him!

The big fella has now outgrown his bassinet that has been his home for the past four months and last night graduated to Poppy’s old cot. We had a successful night’s sleep which was a relief!

Poppy is still very unwell with her virus and all she has done for the past four days is lay on the couch. Thank goodness for ABC4Kids and Panadol to get us through. It makes you feel so helpless when they are sick. Xx

Woah – give me strength, cause I am in the boiler room!
Poppy has come down with a cold and flu combined with teething pain, resulting in restless nights and grizzly days. James also jumped on the bandwagon – waking every two hours last night as well. Enough already!!
I just need to sit back and listen to Bonobo’s Boiler Room DJ Mix to clear my head (and to dream of Ibiza or just anywhere exotic)!

I love this time of year when the hawthorn hedges are in full bloom and the poppy crops are starting to flower. The best place showcasing this spectacle is in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania, where Poppy, James and I were visiting my family late last week.
We also called into see my oldest friend Prue on her farm on Friday morning, where Poppy loved knowing that the flowers in the paddock were also called ‘Poppies’.

Back in Hobart now and I am enjoying the start of a new week – however I am going to buy Poppy a ‘Rewards Star Chart‘ today as she is displaying some challenging and defiant behaviour. Oh the joys of a two and half-year old!

Here are two photos – one of Poppy and one of James taken at exactly the same age of three months. Now here’s the challenge, who is who?
A.

B.

A = James
B = Poppy

Another weekend of appreciating the finer details in life … Poppy’s blonde curly hair; walking the dog with her helmet on (high risk activity); “breastfeeding” her dolly and James’ little feet! Bless. Xx

We have just had a fabulous mini-break! On Thursday we loaded up the car (oh boy how much stuff do we need to take these days?) and headed up to White Sands Resort on the East Coast of Tasmania for four days. We joined our friends and their children and had a very relaxing time.
It was so wonderful being out of Hobart and rediscovering a part of the state I haven’t been to for a while.

I wish I could say we ‘lounged’ around the pool for the whole weekend, but the weather had other ideas – it was so windy! There were definitely no bikinis in sight!

Our little boy James is 12 weeks old tomorrow! Oh my what a big boy he is now.

… and here is Poppy at the same age. They have the same chubby chubba cheeks!
