There is so much happening at this time of year – Christmas Pageants, School Fairs, Regional Shows and Dance Recitals. This weekend was no exception.
On Saturday morning we schlepped along to the annual Myer Christmas Pageant with all of Hobart and their little people (or so it seemed). Poppy waved for the entire pageant and James fell asleep in the backpack!
No sooner had we got home, had lunch and an afternoon nap to reinvigorate for the Waimea Heights School Fair in the afternoon where Poppy ate jelly, a cupcake and had her face painted.
I haven’t been to a fair since my own school days but it brought back many memories – fairy floss, bakers toast, lucky dips, jumping castles, baked goodies and the chocolate wheel. Poppy and James were both exhausted on Saturday night, but paradoxically a little wired on sugar!
On Sunday we escaped the city and went on an adventure to Snug Falls. Poppy walked all the way and James hitched a ride with his Mum! It felt so great to go for a wander in the bush. X
