I haven’t really hit my ‘Christmas’ groove this year as it hasn’t felt like the festive season for me as yet. It probably has something to do with this crappy weather that Hobart has been experiencing – I am over the rain and wearing my uggies and woolly cardigans at home!
We have put our Christmas tree up, the wreath is on the front door and Poppy is loving the little treats from the Advent Calendar each morning. I have nearly finished the Christmas shopping and I am going to start wrapping presents today.
Here is a round-up of my thoughts this morning:
- Woo-hoo! James only woke once last night at 12:30 am and so I feel positively refreshed this morning.
- I had my work Christmas dinner at the fabulous Miyabi Japanese restaurant in North Hobart last night. The ‘Pork miso mince encased in eggplant‘ was a taste sensation.
- I am chuffed I have found free software on the web to extract the background from photos, as displayed in this post with Poppy’s skirt. Oh how I would love to study Graphic Design one day!
- I would love to hang the washing out on the line but guess what – it is raining again.
- My post-pregnancy hair is falling out.
- We have Poppy’s daycare ‘Christmas Family Fun Night’ tonight complete with a sausage sizzle, free icy poles, face painting and a visit from Santa.
- My favourite Danish political drama series – Borgen is on SBS tonight at 9:30 pm.
