Tasty Tuesday : Nicko’s Carbonara

Every Tuesday I plan to feature a yummy recipe for you to enjoy.  My husband makes a very mean Carbonara, which we enjoyed last night and I thought I would share this very easy recipe, for the first ‘Tasty Tuesday‘.

Carbonara

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti (or any kind of pasta that takes your fancy)
  • 6 Rashers Bacon (diced)
  • 2 Eggs
  • Cracked Pepper
  • Parmesan

Method:

  • Whilst pasta is cooking, fry your bacon.  In a separate bowl, lightly whisk your egg and add lots of pepper and parmesan.
  • Drain pasta.  Add bacon and pepper and toss to cool pasta.  Once it is cool (you don’t want the pasta to cook the egg) add your egg/cheese mixture and stir through.
  • Eat … and enjoy!

Nicko’s Tip:

Heat up your bowl/plate in the oven prior.

Last night, Poppy – our little kitten (who came home from care with her face painted) dined ‘al fresco’.  She ate a few more of her vegetables much to my relief, and I didn’t care if they ended up on the grass.  xx

Bravo, time to move into food blogging with ‘Tasty Tuesday’, you are on a roll. Love that last photo, it’s a classic! I do like images where there are multiple things going on at once all in the one frame. It is a real life domestic shot, I like it how the eye is drawn to the center and then around to each of the three subjects. The more I look at it the more I like it, the angle of Maisys body with mouth open, Poppy seed with spoon in one hand and the other hand touching the mouth along with the chef de resistance busy with chores in the background.
