Lost : Found

You would have read here that I was quite distraught recently about losing ‘my blankie’!

You wouldn’t believe it – but I FOUND IT this morning!  There I was – having just finished our swimming lesson with Poppy, which was the first one in a month.  I had just managed to wrangle Poppy out of her Little Swimmers nappy, her bathing suit and changed her, which is no mean feat theses days.  I was grappling with her and chasing her around the change room whilst trying not to slip on the wet tiles, and getting dressed myself.

Poppy had then delved into Melissa’s bag and found her son’s rice crackers when I managed to retrieve them and return them to their rightful owner.  I was walking back to my bag where the contents were strewn everywhere, when I glanced … and then glanced again.  It couldn’t be … but it was.  It was my gorgeous red scarf, slung over the rail in the change room, looking quite lonely.

I gasped with glee and Melissa and I did a little jig.  (My friend Melissa is also a lover of scarves and shared my merriment)!

So now it has returned to its rightful home in my closet and I am chuffed!  I know it is only a scarf, but I love it.  xx
