Our little girl turns ONE today!
Looking at these photos and her development over the year, it amazes me how much she has changed. Yet, I look at her and to me, she still looks exactly the same as when she was born! Mmmm…I know that sounds strange, but she is our little girl, whom we love so very much.
This morning, Nick and I went into her room and showered her with balloons whilst singing: Happy Birthday. She was slightly overwhelmed at first, even dropping the lip before intrigue won out! She has spent the rest of the morning chasing the balloons around the house.
This afternoon I am going to take her to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens to play in the autumn leaves, and Nick will be home early to celebrate our little girl’s special day!
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Those ballons look like fun. As for the Botanical Gardens, I hope its nice weather for your outing, and funnily enough I went to the Botanical gardens on my own for an hour or so on Monday (after watching a film of course-“Life in Movement” which I have been thinking a lot about ever since). I spent some time in the Japanese garden admiring the dashes of autumn colour and rock effects, then meandered through the vegie patch eyeing off the rhubarb and other delights. I was then engulfed in a colour explosion from the amazing cosmos daisy’s…natures own pantone!! You wait for it! I finished off in the herb garden, I love all the names too, such as “Empress of India” etc. I am really glad that I went there. It was so peaceful, I think the rest of the world may have disappeared for a while.
Thanks Tim – loved the Gardens. You are right – such a beautiful time of year. I didn’t get to see the “Empress of India”, but hopefully will next time!
Happy Birthday, Poppy! Love her curls and her gorgeous outfit!
Hi Heidi
Thanks for Poppy’s birthday wishes…she had a lovely day! Her shirt is from her Grandmother, who bought it in Paris for her last year! Isn’t it beautiful!
